Verizon Wireless has finally ended the rumors, finally confirming the launch of the new Motorola Droid X (not Shadow or Xtreme how the rumors were claiming). The Droid X has appeared in the official Verizon website with the image above that features a “coming soon” sentence.

Some of the confirmed technical specifications are the 4.3″ display, HDMI output, 720p display, which means either a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels or the ability of playing and recording 720p videos. We don’t know yet.

More information will come after June 23rd, which is the launch date for the new Motorola phone.

It was previously known as Motorola Twist, then with the official name: Motorola FlipOut, and if you’ve doubted the existence of this phone, now Motorola has officially confirmed it. It should be available in Europe from this month on.

Thought for younger users, the FlipOut has Android 2.1 and MotoBlur. The device weighs 120g and has a full QWERTY keyboard. It has many applications for social networking such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and so on. The display is a 2.8″ QVGA touchscreen, and it also features Wi-Fi, A-GPS, eCompass, CrystalTalk PLUS, WebKit browser with Flash, 3.5mm jack, 3 Megapixel photocamera, 512 MB internal memory and 2GB with a memory card.

The price hasn’t been announced yet, but it’ll be available in many colors as well.

The picture above should be for the new Motorola Shadow, an Android smartphone that was thought to become the new Nexus Two, but now it seems it’ll be the next Droid / Milestone model.

Compared to the previous informations we’ve seen on the web, it seems that the display will have 4.3″ instead of 4.1″. Other features include an ARM Cortex A8 processor with 720 MHz, 8GB of internal memory, 8 Megapixel photocamera capable of registering 720p HD videos.

Also present is an HDMI port in order to connect the phone to a monitor or TV. We don’t know much else, but we’ll be tuned.

After the trial period, it is very hard to say goodbye to the U9. Small size, great signal reception and the external display can be very useful in the day-to-day life, making it a great cellphone for all its basic functions. The addition of a music player and a photocamera makes it also a good choice for those constantly traveling.

In a nutshell, the Motorola U9 seems a very balanced cellphone, great for those customers it’s aimed at, and it can be convenient price-wise. It doesn’t have many advanced features, but for those that are looking for a good-looking cellphone that can do its job well, and plus present some additional features, it’s a very good choice.

Pros:

- Great design and quality materials
- Possibility of reading the SMS’s with the cellphone closed
- Very simple software and highly customizable.

Cons:

- Scratches rather easily
- Keyboard isn’t exactly perfect for a fast writing

The guys from UnwiredView have made a new hands-on video for the Motorola Quench Cliq XT during the Mobile World Congress in Barcellona. The Quench Cliq XT has HSDPA connectivity, a 3.1 HVGA touchscreen display, 5 Megapixel photocamera, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, E-Compass and Android 1.5 with the MotoBLUR interface and services.

Previously known as Calgary, Motorola now launches the new Devour, starting from the USA. It’s a smartphone featuring Android 1.6 and the MotoBlur interface. Measuring 115.5 x 61 x 15.4 mm and weighing 180g, it features a touchscreen display with the resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The photocamera has the resolution of 3.2 Megapixels with autofocus.

It has a QWERTY keyboard hidden by a slide mechanism, Wi-Fi support, A-GPS, accelerometer and a 3.5mm jack for headphones. The availability is set to March, while the price is still unknown.

The Android-based smartphones continue to be manufactured by Motorola. The latest model is the XT720 model, known for now with the name Motoroi. The device has a 3.7″ touchscreen display with the resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The photocamera takes pictures 8 to 8 Megapixels and makes HD videos.

The internal memory has 8 GB and it’s also possible to expand it using microSD cards. Also present are the WiFi, integrated GPS and the 3.5mm jack for headphones. The availability is set for now to the Asian market, and the price is still unknown.

It was Sprint to reveal more details about the new device from Motorola, the Brute i680. It’s a device created to resist impacts, dust, vibration, extreme sunlight, rain, humidity and extreme temperatures. The Brute i680 has a clamshell design with a 2 Megapixel photocamera, 2.2″ TFT internal display with the resolution of 176 x 220 pixels, a 1.3″ external display with the resolution of 120 x 160 pixels, GPS system, Bluetooth connectivity and a 1750 mAH Li-Ion battery.

It also has a multimedia player, microSD support up to 8 GB, and it measures 99.5 x 53 x 26 mm, weighing 159.5 grams. The design isn’t the most innovative ever, but the main features on the model seem to be its rugged characteristics and not the aesthetic design.

Motorola has decided to present their new MT710 at the CES 2010. It’s another Motorola smartphone featuring Android, with a 3.7″ touchscreen display with a little pen, thought out for Asian users that need to draw their own characters.

The model shown in the video is sold with Chinese Mobile TV.

During the CES 2010 in Las Vegas, Motorola has launched the Backflip model, a new device featuring Android. The guys from PhoneScoop have made a video showing the new Motorola device.

Here are the technical specifications: a 3.1″ display with the resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, a 5 Megapixel photocamera with autofocus and LED flash, HSDPA connection, Wi-Fi and bluetooth. The battery allows 6 hours in conversation and 13 days in standby. So far, no news of price or availability are available yet. We’ll keep tuned.
