Motorola to launch new Android smartphone line on 2010
Motorola wants more Android smartphones on their cellphone line, or better yet, more “economic” smartphones with the OS made by Google. That was the main goal from the American cellphone company, who is aiming on having a few new Android smartphones on 2010, according to Sanjay Jha, CEO of the Motorola’s Mobile Devices Business Unit.
Also, an email from a Motorola employee claims that Motorola’s strategy for the rest of 2009 will be to concentrate their efforts into creating new Android smartphones that will possibly be cheaper than those already on the market. He also says that Windows Mobile will keep on being used, but mostly on the business line.
The new Motorola devices featuring Android should be available on the market by the end of 2010 and they will have a customized graphic interface, hence different from those already seen on the HTC models with Android.
