Motorola has announced that their San Diego PKI has been selected by the WiMax Forum to represent the certified authority for the WiMax devices in a worldwide scale.

The PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) center from Motorola is one of the biggest certification centers for hardware devices in the world. Every year, 65 billion dollars of entertainment content services are under Motorola’s PKI protection.

Since its first opening, the Motorola PKI Center has issued more than 650 million certificates.
